Homework set Thursday 12th December. Due in Tuesday 7th January (first day back) Instructions: 1. The next topic we will be covering is cells. 2. You need to research and produce the following: a) A labelled diagram of a white blood cell. b) A description of where white blood cells are found in the body and what their job is. c) The difference between two types of white blood cell (lymphocytes and phagocytes). Work can be handwritten or typed up but must not be copied directly from the internet. Find the information that is relevant and put it into your own words. Hand in paper neatly (not screwed up, torn, etc.) in the lesson next Tuesday. Questions: 1. What is a particle? 2. Draw the particle arrangement for solid, liquid and gas (EXT: Can you draw a vacuum?). 3. Explain, using ideas about particles and energy, why ice cubes melt when they are taken out of the freezer.
